Celebrate local art at the Convergence Music & Art Festival

Downtown Oshawa will transform into a hub of music, art and creativity during the Convergence Music & Art Festival on Friday, September 19 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, September 20 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
This free two-day event, organized by Oshawa Tourism, features Juno-nominated headliner Valley, alongside performances by Aysanabee, Frank Mighty, Zakisha and more. Festival goers can also experience art up close in the Art Zone or walk through immersive art installations.

Let’s keep our school roadways safe this September

As the new school year begins, more children will be walking and biking in and around school areas. To help keep everyone safe, drivers are reminded to slow down, follow posted speed limits, and respect all traffic signs, including no parking and no stopping zones.
Municipal Law Enforcement Officers will be actively monitoring school zones and enforcing parking regulations to protect pedestrians. Please do not park in fire routes, block driveways, or obstruct sidewalks.

Durham Region Municipalities Come Together to Support Hunger Action Month

Drop off non-perishable foods at participating facilities or donate online from September 1 to 28.
The City of Oshawa, the Region of Durham and other area municipalities are partnering once again in support of National Hunger Action Month this September to raise awareness, food donations and funds to fight hunger in the community.
