Winter parking takes effect on December 1

Changes to on street parking for the winter season will be in effect from Sunday, December 1, through to April 1.
Reminders to community members:
- On street parking is not permitted on Oshawa streets between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m., from December 1 to April 1. Vehicles can be ticketed or towed during that time, regardless of snow clearing operations or weather conditions.

Rose Valley Community Park Construction Milestones

Construction is progressing on Rose Valley Community Park, located at 1095 Thornton Rd. North, north of Rossland Road and south of Taunton Road.
The new pickle ball courts and the installation of two playground areas are now complete. Construction progresses on Rotary Park – Oshawa’s centennial Legacy Project

The Rotary Park and Pool Redevelopment project is reaching construction milestones.
Construction began in Spring 2024 and it continues to move forward and advance with the recent installation of the footings for the building foundation. Other completed work includes underground servicing such as watermain, storm and sanitary sewers.
The project schedule continues to target opening for Summer 2025.

Winter recreation program registration is just around the corner, and we encourage community members to set aside some time in advance to prepare for registration.
Beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19, the City will open registration for winter swimming lessons only. Registration for general winter recreation programs, including arts and crafts, dance, music, fitness, sports and March Break Camps will open at 9 a.m. on Thursday, November 21.
