TeachingCity Oshawa collaboration highlights public art through new interactive map

A new interactive map developed through a TeachingCity Oshawa collaboration with Durham College and The Robert McLaughlin Gallery (RMG) is highlighting public art in Oshawa.
The mobile-friendly map allows Oshawa residents and visitors to interact with six public art pieces in the city’s downtown core:
- Crown, Douglas Bentham;
- grace, Mary Anne Barkhouse;
- Group Portrait 1957, Douglas Coupland;
- Reverb, Noel Harding;
- River Tree/Bench, Reinhard Reitzenstein; and,
- Upstart II, Clement Meadmore.

Oshawa welcomes global supply chain leader Martin Brower to Northwood Business Park

The City of Oshawa is pleased to announce that Martin Brower, a global leader in supply chain solutions, will occupy a new major industrial development at Northwood Business Park, and is expected to bring approximately 175 new jobs to our community.
Panattoni Development Company has collaborated with Stonemont Financial Group and BentallGreenOak to bring Martin Brower to Oshawa. The facility, which measures approximately 172,000 sq.ft. includes office space and is located at 650 Conlin Rd. W.

Cordova Valley Park – home to Oshawa’s newest splash pad

The City of Oshawa recently celebrated the completion of park upgrades and a new splash pad at Cordova Valley Park with an official re-opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony. The park redevelopment project was made possible by $975,000 in funding from the Government of Canada’s Canada Community-Building Fund.

The following statement is being issued on behalf of Ontario’s Big City Mayors.
